Old Wives Tales
For many years I’ve been writing songs but without an output for any of them. Sure I can sing, so people keep telling me, but when the only place you sing is at home with your guitar and only your wife is in the audience it seems impossible to imagine anything happening with your music. That was, however, until I discovered a little thing called AI.
I know AI has come in for a lot of criticism for many reasons but it can also be a thing for good. I hope you’ll agree that I’ve used it for good.
My new song, “Old Wives Tales” was written by me but performed by AI.
The song is about all of those tales your Mum would tell you, like:”don’t make that face because if the wind changes it’ll stay like that”; “if you spill salt, throw some over your shoulder”; “if your palm itches you’ll come into money”; etc. And, as children, you always believed it because Mum told you it was true. My Mum has always been the superstitious type and I wrote this song for her.
Have a listen and tell me what you think.
